Marcus Nodder, Leyland,10 Publishing, 2018 ISBN 978-1-912373-09-3

The book consists of 14 chapters telling the story of a person who has been successful in business, politics, academia, the arts, law etc and the role that Christian faith plays in their life. Two sportspeople are included.

The chapter, "Why does God allow suffering?", does not really answer the question but tells the story of Stef Reid, Paralympic Athlete from the moment she lost her leg in a boating accident as a teenager to becoming a professional athlete. This is intertwined with her faith story.

The chapter of former Premier League Footballer, Gavin Peacock, is called "What is the purpose of life?" The son of a professional player, Gavin grew up around football playing for QPR, Gillingham, Bournemouth, Newcastle United, Chelsea, QPR again and Charlton Athletic. He was a Christian throughout most of his career and studied theology before becoming a pastor.

An easy and interesting read.
