The book is the autobiography of a professional Rugby League player who admits to being addicted to porn before coming to faith in Jesus Christ. He dedicates the book: “To God – Thank you for saving me from a life of perpetual misery and destruction. I have entrusted you with my life and you have never let me down. I want to serve you always”.
However, if you are looking for a sports autobiography with a Christian testimony, you may be disappointed as much of the book is about Kirk’s battles with his ex-partner, whom he abandoned when she was pregnant, over access to their children. There are also battles with the courts and the CSA, which he accuses of being corrupt.
