Amis du Monde before the game

"I love the sense of satisfaction that I get when I’ve done a swimming workout or race, and know that I gave my whole being and heart to God in every moment of the swim. It’s the best worship I can offer him."

Penny Heyns

2013 Visit

Stuart was in Togo in December 2013. As well as sporting the girls' football team and taking some equipment, he was able to meet members of the Olympic Committee.

Some of the equipment for the girls

Some of the girls came to welcome Stuart - dressed in FA jackets

They played a game which Stuart was able to watch. Note the England kit, kindly donated by the FA and brought last time by Stuart.

Final instructions from coach Aime

Buying balls with coach (Oumar) and chaplain, Magloire

Stuart was also in contact with the Olympic Committee, having dinner with the Chef de Mission and with the former President, General Nabede, as well as being received by the new President Auguste Dogbo.

Note the simple but clever scoreboard on the left. Seven pieces of wood on hinges make the number 8. By folding back some of the pieces of wood any other figure can be created.
